Below you’ll find the websites I made. Also maybe sometimes something random.

Hipsters’ Heaven

Description:

Hipsters’ Heaven is a business that primarily sells motorbikes. It seperates itself from similar enterprises by creating a welcoming homey atmosphere. Customers can walk in at any time and expect a cup of coffee. The bikes aren’t too flashy and aren’t lined up as if they just rolled out of a factory. Instead they are hand picked characteristic bikes that are placed randomly around the store.

Website:

Some requirements for the website were to make it as clear as possible. There aren’t any fancy dropdown menu’s or content that’s hard to find: it’s all directly in the menu at the top of the page. Also, it needed to reflect welcoming messy character of the store. That’s why, for example, the bikes aren’t perfectly lined up and the images have a dirty overlay.

To make it as simple as possible for the owner to add items to his inventory I made a customized CMS using PHP and MySQL. There’s no extensive WordPress interface, just a personalized interface with a few options to add bikes or other items to the websites inventory.

Bildung Nijmegen

Description:

Bildung Nijmegen is a platform by students who want to emphasize personal development in education. They do so by actively organizing events where participants can explore themselves in all kinds of practical and innovative ways.

Website:

The only guideline for the website was the color scheme: CMY. For this website I also made a custom CMS where the person maintaining the website can add events, add blogs, add project applications and change all the text on the website. I might convert this website to a WordPress theme in the near future so interesting widgets might be added.

Jesuswalk

Description:

Jesuswalk is a mobile private kitesurf school. Run by Roelof, he will drive you up to a surfspot or meet you there. The lessons are personal and the focus is completely on the student.

Website:

There weren’t actually any guidelines for me to follow here. I was let completely free in how I designed the website. Since there is no need for a lot of content I decided to make a clean one-page website. No funny stuff and easy on the eye. I shot some video’s and pictures that I used to give it a bit of a personal touch.

Portrait Edwin

A friend of mine wanted a drawn portret of himself on his website. Since I like to try new things I offered to give it a try. The results are below. The first one is for his light theme and the second one is for the dark theme. They can also be admired on his website: www.edwinwenink.xyz.
